Fantastic Beasts: The Dumbledore Secrets earned just $43 million in the US in its opening weekend. Because of such results, the franchise may be closed.

The start of the film was the worst not only among the spin-offs of the story that returns to the Harry Potter universe, but also among all films about the young wizard. By comparison, the first Fantastic Beasts grossed about $75 million in its opening weekend, while the sequel made $62.2 million.

At Warner Bros. already talked about the possibility of closing the entire project due to small fees and scandalous stories with the actors. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter .

The film could have achieved greater success, according to analysts, if some cinemas in China had not closed after the increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus. Also, the tape could earn more if Hollywood studios with their “Creatures” remained in Russia.

. . . . . . . . . .
