The continuation of the fantasy drama The Witcher, expected this winter, will be significantly reduced. Netflix decided to thoroughly redraw the series, leaving fans no chance to enjoy the adventures of new characters.

A prequel called The Witcher. Origin” will consist of four episodes, instead of the expected six. Already footage is subjected to careful editing, which is why the timing is significantly reduced.

The episodes between the beginning and the end of the project have undergone the most changes, according to Redanian Intelligence . The showrunner of the project, Declan de Barra, reported on his social network page two years ago about the excellently filmed finale (then it was episode 6).

“Today I sent a draft of the finale of The Witcher Origins. It was fucking great. Dreams do come true,” de Barra wrote.
