Clerks director Kevin Smith explained the position of his more famous colleagues on current trends in Hollywood.

The director is sure that for every director from the old generation, including Martin Scorsese, the author of the famous films “The Departed” and “Shutter Island”, there are young ones who are interested in making films based on comics. Therefore, expelling people from society because they like other films is not worth it, Smith said.

“Are you asking the guy who made The Goodfellas what he thinks of Spider-Man? And what do you expect from him? He is a very serious director, and he is also a man of a certain age who is used to certain things. So you should not be surprised by his answers, ”Smith said in an interview with Forbes .
