In her first interview about her relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle allowed herself too much. This despite the fact that the future husband himself asked her not to do this.

The 2017 Vanity Fair article was supposed to feature the star only as an actress, activist and philanthropist. Her affair with the prince was not to be the subject of discussion.

“Knowing that Diana and Sarah Ferguson killed themselves in an interview, Harry asked Meghan to keep quiet about sensitive topics – Donald Trump, race, their relationship and especially about himself. He shouldn’t have been mentioned,” says biographer Tom Bauer in Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, which came into the possession of The Sun.

Having asked the actress a question about the prince, the journalist did not count on any interesting answer. But Markle outplayed everything herself. She told him that she and Harry were a couple in love. And then she simply changed the topic in order to “not give the impression that she was boasting.”

“Meghan’s unprecedented impudence took Buckingham Palace by surprise and stirred up the British media. Like a bolt from the blue, the interview caused a sensational reaction. Megan used her relationship with Harry for self-promotion, ”the biographer commented on this case.
