Kanye West has finally responded to criticism from buyers of his clothing collection, which the rapper put up for sale in trash bags. The artist not only refused to apologize, but also explained what these bags really are from and why the media are to blame for the scandal anyway.

According to West, he chose this entourage because when creating the collection, he was inspired by “the homeless and children.” And the hip-hop star immediately clarified that the bags are not garbage, but construction. The artist also responded to the fact that buyers accused the rapper of disrespect and mockery of customers. As expected, West acknowledged neither.

“Look, I’m an innovator. I’m not here to apologize for my ideas. That’s exactly what the media is trying to do: make us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fit with how they want us to think. It’s not a joke. This is not a game. This is not just a collaboration with a celebrity. This is my life. I fight for the ability to change clothes and offer people better designs,” the rapper said in an interview with Fox News .
