Millie Bobby Brown was catapulted into stardom when she was just 12 years old through her role as Eleven on the ‘Stranger Things’ series. She now revealed in the interview that she has always felt “watched” by the general public and that since her most recent birthday, the reactions have become “actually even grosser and more inappropriate”.

“I deal with the same things as all other 18-year-olds,” Millie explained in the interview. “Navigating being an adult and having relationships and friendships. Being liked and trying to fit in, it’s all a lot, and you’re trying to get to know yourself while doing that. The only difference is that I’m clearly doing that in the public eye.”

Later in the interview, she also spoke candidly about the sexualization she experienced: “It’s really overwhelming. I have certainly had more to do with that in the last few weeks, after my 18th birthday,” the actress admits. “I definitely see a difference between the way people behave now and the way the press and social media are reacting to me now that I’m ‘grown up’. It’s really disgusting.”
